temperatures dropping about four again. so some low 80s, mid-80s and upper 80s in areas that are about ten degrees warmer than that. 60s and 70s closer to the bay. we have a closure in san jose. we told you about it yesterday. this is highway 101 between 280 and the expressway. it's a fuel freeway closure that will -- a full freeway closure that will be going on for another hour or so. this is a big deal obviously. but it's going to be closed. and they'll do this for the next four nights as they do major work here, including some of the overpasses in san jose. so you need to get on monray road. maybe by 5:00, we'll be in luck. but if you're going out to san jose, be aware of this and

we're looking at interstate 80, that looks good. and we're off to a nice start in san francisco. but two lanes of the freeway closed eastbound bay bridge for road work. as soon as you get on the lower deck, you'll notice that traffic is light. there is no slow down yet. at 4:30, let's go back to the desk. >> we begin with a stunning new development in the brian stoa beating case. the los angeles police have arrested two new suspects for the brutal beating outside dodgers stadium. and paul chambers looks the events. >> reporter: we're here live at brian stoa remains. and there are major developments happening in this case. for months, please said they had the right man and now they're changing their tune. an associated press reports that the two men were arrested on wednesday in connection with the stoa case. but the police have not released their names or any other details about the latest information. and the l.a. times said that the

investigators have circumstantial and physical evidence. you may remember he was considered the number one suspect in the case since he was taken into custody in may more a patrol records. and now they say with his cell phone records and other records it proves that he was innocent. >> this is a true lesson of the judicial system in the country, specifically that everyone should be assumed guilty till proven guilty. when i jumped into the case, it was the opposite. >> reporter: and we caught up with paramedics and emts that worked with stoa and they say they think about him every day and they wear these bracelets with his number on it and they want whoever did this to their friend to be arrested. >> we have to hope that the investigators are following good leads and making good decisions and all we can do is hope and they pray is they're on the right path to finding

who did this. >> reporter: and we spoke with stoa's sister who wants more information about the case before making a statement. we'll bring you the latest as it develops. i'm paul chambers. we have developing news out of oak lie right now. firefighters are on the scene of a house fire where one person was injured it started about two hours ago. flames are shooting out of the roof and one person had to be airlifted because burns. we have a crew headed to the scene. and we'll have a live report at 5:00 a.m. there's a bombshell in a controversial police shooting. the young man that died appears to have killed himself with his own gun. the police are still trying to find the weapon that they believe was stolen from the scene. but san francisco's chief medical examiner has revealed test results indicating 19-year- old kevin harding fatally injured himself while running away from two police officers

last saturday. >> the bullet, which was removed from his head is not consistent with the service ammunition used by the san francisco police department. >> people can cover a lot of stuff up. you never know. >> that criticism reflects the controversy and prompted several rowdy demonstrations in the past few days. angry residents shouted down the police at a town hall meeting that was called to try to ease the tension. the faces of the two officers involved here are concealed. the video shows the officers exiting the train and opening fire on 45-year-old charles hill less than 30 seconds after they're arrival. hill is not shown in the video. but the police say that he threw a knife outlined by the blue circle on the screen. he threw it at one of the officers. and they found another knife

neck to hill's body. they're looking for whoever stole dozens of computers from a school. the break-in at old mill school happened tuesday night or wednesday morning. someone cut locks and forced open windows to get the laptops. the school is in the middle of a remodeling project. several dozen laptops are missing. overnight, concord police break up a large party that include underage drinking. neighbors called to complain about a large party. officers say there were up to 300 people at the home for a birthday party for a 17-year- old girl. she told us that the party- goers started to throw bottles at officers. >> i caught a couple people throwing people at the police and saying stuff to them. but i was like, you need to respect them. they're doing their job. >> police say they arrested the girl's father for disturbing the peace and receiving stolen

property. the cause of death for the teenager died after a weekend sleepover remains a mystery. she died two weeks ago. she drank some vodka with some friends but did not waking up the next morning. the autopsy report is inconclusive. a manhunt in union city is over this morning. police tell us that two men have been arrested, including one that is suspected of shooting at officers. it happened yesterday morning when the police reported to a suspect burglary. they found a man matching the description of the burglar suspect. but when they tried to make contact, the police say that he fired at officers. several s.w.a.t. teams were called in to search for the suspect. they found the man hiding in a tool shed and took him into custody. officers also searched for additional suspects but did not

find anyone. they're trying to determine which man fired shots at police. the man accused of threatening to kill congresswoman box certify expected to enter -- boxer is expected to enter a plea today. he left a series of threatening voicemails. the threats were not related to her political position, says boxer. he could face up to three years in prison. after 17 years, the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy is one step closer to officially ending. new defense secretary and former california congressman pen -- pena it is expected to sign it.

preseason schedule the august 7th hall of fame game has been canceled. 4:38. and back out to sal. you talked about the road closure earlier. but how are the rest of the roads looking? >> they're doing okay. the road closure in san jose is closed, a full freeway closure. it will be closed for the next three nights. so it will be closed for four nights in total and it's closed from 11:30 at night till 5:30 in the morning. the closure is scheduled to open up in less than an hour. this is for a freeway improvement project in the area. they're doing all the projects at once. you can use manray road. and this morning's commute is

okay in san jose along 280 northbound into the west valley. and now to steve. we have the fog out there. and it feels more cooler. there's a little more of a sea breeze out there. 50s and 60s on your temperatures right now. oakland says don't forget me. 59 in fairfield. there's a seabreeze out there. so it's putting in place here. another system is dropping into the pacific northwest and it's just the pattern that we've seen it. develops and kicks up and lift off and next week we'll start to warm up again. and cool for some and mild and warm for others. it will be cooler inland with move a westerly wind especially in the afternoon. so a couple low 80s for some but upper 80s and low 90s. but the temperatures are creeping downward. 60s and 70s. i don't see much change on the weekend. and it looks like the morning fog giving way to sun.

state of florida has received their bill from casey anthony defense team. it's more than $147,000. the state has paid nearly 119 thousands of that bill. but they refused to pay nearly 12 thousands of it includes

arena. and it will take place next month. we're watching the road for you. how are things looking now? we have a lot going on. i want to talk about the full freeway closure on highway 101. these are pictures of the closure here. this is a live picture here. the closure is coming up to 2 80. and you will not be able to get on. so it will be closed in both directions till 5:30, another half our or so and it's been closed since 11:30 last night and traffic is busy even for this time of the morning. so you should know this as you drive through the area. let's move along and take a look at -- i want to talk about a fire at the altima pass. you'll cease fire crews out there and so far traffic on 580

is not affected too much. but you will see activity in the area. we'll tell you more about this coming up. on the golden gate bridge, southbound 101, the fog is the issue heading south. a happy friday. a cooling trend continued for some and will probably level off saturday and maybe we'll see a tiny bump up on saturday. but temperatures will come down in the next couple days as an area of low pressure is settled in. not in the way of any higher mid-level clouds. but we have fog beginning to come in. 50s and a few low 60s. the temperatures will stay about here. i would not expect too much cooler. west southwest that is a rip roaring sea breeze and the delta breeze is in place and temperatures will start to drop. another system is moving into the pacific northwest. that drops south, that will continue to usher in a cooler

pattern. so fog, sun and cooler for some but cooler away from the coast. we'll see temperatures in the 60s, 70s and 80s. and we held on to a few low 90s near clear lake. but a lot of 80s. it looks like cooler into saturday and maybe a little warmer on sunday. there are signs that tuesday or wednesday of next week, we'll be warmer again. one person injured overnight in a house fire in oakley. the injuries suffered that required an emergency airlift. new video shows a deadly police shooting at a san francisco bar station. the clues that the pictures are reveal being the incident.

officers. good morning. welcome to the morning news. it's friday, july 22nd. >> pam and dave are off today. let's get a quick look at your weather and traffic. good morning. we have low clouds, some fog out there. and the temperatures will be cooler inland so a lot of 60s and 70s and 80s for areas that were in the 90s a couple days ago. but the trend is to bring some temperatures down. and now here's sal. traffic on highway 4 looks good coming up to the grade with no major problems. and the traffic is looking good all the way to concord. and we're looking at 92 westbound. this traffic is moving along nicely. i want to mention that there's been a major closure in the south bay overnight because of some road work in san jose. let's go to craig who has the report. >> reporter: it's a long time planned construction on
